There is a tremendous amount of hype about the potential of 3D printing. The technology is already able to produce customized, one-of-a-kind prosthetic limbs, or artificial hips for patients. These devices are designed specifically to fit each individual’s unique anatomy. In this podcast Dr Kate Black , a lecturer in Additive Manufacturing in the University’s Department of Mechanical, Materials & Aerospace Engineering, takes us on a journey to the not-so-distant future of 3D printing.
