The Coming 3D Printing Revolution
We truly believe that 3D Printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing, is going to revolutionize the world we live in. Just as cellphones went from being cumbersome and very expensive bricks in the early 90’s to smartphones with more computing power than NASA had when they put a man on the moon, expect the same kind of dynamic to take place in 3D printing.
With one very significant difference.
Cellphones and smartphones gave us the technology to dramatically enhance our ability to communicate with one another wherever and whenever, as well as being able to surf the web at our leisure; but change was primarily limited to those areas.
3D printing will affect a much greater number of areas in our everyday lives, from the homes we live in, the clothing we wear, the furniture we buy, the aircraft we fly in, the cars we drive, the health, medical and dental care we get, and more.
Just as the first and second industrial revolutions radically changed the culture of their times, the upcoming revolution flowing out of 3D printing stands to do the same.
This site is dedicated to exploring the amazing potential changes which will spring out of this revolution.

Everything 3D Printing In One Place
3D Printing, also known as Additive Manufacturing, is a wide ranging matrix of technologies, disciplines and industries. From printers and scanners costing a few hundred dollars to those costing a million dollars and more, 3D Printing is changing the way the world builds and creates things in fields as diverse as automotive and aerospace, manufacturing and medicine, electronics and construction.
The technologies driving and used in 3D printing and scanning are constantly evolving and changing. Click on the image to read more about the basic categories of 3D printing technologies as defined by ASTM International.
Just as Gutenberg started the 2D printing revolution and changed the world, there is the real possibility and probability that 3D printing will do the same. Check out the timeline and videos.
